Deakin University Greenwood Park
Flexible, collaborative spaces to enhance student and faculty experiences
TCW collaborated with WMK Melbourne to furnish Deakin University’s new workspace at Greenwood Park, designed to accommodate three faculties relocating from the nearby Burwood campus. This highly collaborative project was delivered on time and within budget, creating spaces that support a dynamic and innovative environment for both students and faculty.
The challenge was to design adaptable workspaces that would support both collaborative learning and flexible workstyles while aligning with Deakin University’s vision for Greenwood Park. The aim was to create a space where staff and students would thrive, engaging in both individual work and group activities, with a layout that enhanced the overall function and feel of the environment.
TCW provided a diverse selection of furniture that emphasized both functionality and flexibility. The MOX Workstations and Multiway Sit-Stand Workstations were sourced to promote adaptability, catering to the changing needs of the university’s dynamic community. Bend Ottomans offered comfortable, modular seating for informal spaces, encouraging collaboration. I.AM Tables and TCW Disc Base Tables provided versatile surfaces for group work and interaction. The modular furniture in communal areas helped promote a sense of connection, supporting the social and collaborative objectives of the space.
The new Greenwood Park workspace offers a cohesive environment that fosters both collaboration and flexibility. The carefully selected furniture solutions support the university’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, ensuring a space where students and faculty can thrive. This thoughtful design enhances the function and feel of each area, contributing to a positive, engaging experience for all who use the space.
