Pymble Ladies College – Vision Valley
Nature Meets Nurture: Vision Valley Transforms Learning with Inspired Design
Set amidst 75 acres of breathtaking national parkland near the Hawkesbury River, Vision Valley offers students of Pymble Ladies College (PLC) an unparalleled environment for experiential learning, personal growth, and community building. Designed to foster resilience, leadership, and teamwork, the facility blends natural beauty with purposeful design to create a space where students can thrive.
Transform Stringybark Lodge into a welcoming, multifunctional student accommodation and learning facility that connects indoor spaces with the natural bush land surroundings, ensuring students feel comfortable, supported, and inspired to function at their best.
Janineous Design incorporated biophilic hues of green, light timbers, and neutral tones to reflect the eucalypt surroundings, creating a seamless connection between the interior and the outdoors. TCW supplied modular furniture, including folding U.R tables by Thinking Works for dining and learning spaces, and Aquila and Fiore chairs for comfort, ergonomic function, and flexibility. The design emphasizes sustainability, adaptability, and social interaction, with furniture that can shift between different activities, from collaborative learning to quiet reflection.
Stringybark Lodge now serves as a warm, adaptable home away from home, where students can engage in meaningful learning experiences surrounded by nature. The design creates a space where both individual well-being and collaborative efforts thrive. This thoughtful integration of indoor comfort with outdoor inspiration ensures a truly connected experience, promoting resilience and fostering long-lasting partnerships within the PLC community.
