Value Prop: Flexible Space

Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre

Bankstown’s state-of-the-art Library and Knowledge Centre stands as the first of its kind in the community, offering a 5,000sqm facility that brings together a library, community meeting rooms, and a 300-seat theatre. The design focuses on fostering a space where the community can thrive, learn, and collaborate in an environment that feels welcoming and functional.

HubSpot

HubSpot, a leading developer and marketer of software products for inbound marketing and sales, provides tools for social media marketing, content management, web analytics, and search engine optimization. Their Sydney office required a tailored furniture solution to optimize both concentrated work and collaboration across the space.

Catapult

Catapult, a global leader in sports technology data supporting over 1,500 teams worldwide, expanded its office by tripling the size of its premises in Prahran, Victoria. This move required a tailored furniture solution to accommodate their growing team and specialized facilities.

National Media Provider

TCW was engaged by Hot Black to supply furniture for the lobby of an iconic Australian media provider located in Ultimo, Sydney. The objective was to create a versatile and engaging space that could serve multiple functions, including casual meetings, social interactions, and café areas for staff, visitors, and related guests, ensuring the space was designed to help people feel welcomed and thrive in a collaborative environment.

FASS & R.D. Watts – University of Sydney

TCW collaborated with FDC Building on the fit-out for the University of Sydney’s new Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) building. This six-storey, modern structure with a bronzed glass façade contrasts beautifully with the 122-year-old Heydon-Laurence building and the 101-year-old R.D. Watt building. The design balances heritage and innovation, creating a space where students and staff not only feel comfortable but also thrive in an inspiring academic environment.

Red Energy

Red Energy’s office transformation within the historic Bryant and May factory in Cremorne, Melbourne, merges the building’s heritage with contemporary functionality, creating a modern, collaborative workspace that fosters innovation. The design, led by Carr, carefully balances the factory’s iconic historical elements with flexible, open-plan spaces where over 1,000 staff can thrive.

Taronga Institute of Science & Learning

As part of Taronga Zoo’s Centenary Revitalisation Plan, the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning (TISL) was designed to push the boundaries of conservation, science, and learning. Deakin University Greenwood Park

TCW collaborated with WMK Melbourne to furnish Deakin University’s new workspace at Greenwood Park, designed to accommodate three faculties relocating from the nearby Burwood campus. This highly collaborative project was delivered on time and within budget, creating spaces that support a dynamic and innovative environment for both students and faculty.

NSW Parliament House Education Centre

The refurbishment of the auditorium at NSW Parliament House presented several design challenges, including structural engineering restrictions and the need to avoid air-conditioning grilles on the concrete floor. Close collaboration between TCW, Actiu, and NBRS Architecture was essential in overcoming these challenges, resulting in a high-quality, functional space.
