Where Collaboration Meets Comfort: A Refined Workspace for an Industry Superfund
Located across 2 levels in Sydney, an industry super fund set out to create a contemporary workplace that balances professionalism with comfort. Designed in collaboration with Danks Design, the new environment was envisioned to enhance daily collaboration while offering inviting, functional spaces where staff can connect and recharge.
Creating a breakout space that felt both comfortable and refined proved to be a key design challenge. The client sought a lounge solution that encouraged informal conversation without compromising on scale or aesthetic appeal. Furniture proposals from TCW had to be finessed to ensure best fit for the brief which involved several samples and showroom visits.
Working closely with Danks Design, a range of options were presented to achieve the ideal balance between quality, style, and budget. The final selections included soft seating from Jonas Ihreborn, Telephone Booths from Bosse, Task seating from Dauphin tables from Venue and breakout furniture from Actiu with finishes selected by Danks design
The result is a cohesive, well-furnished workplace that embodies both functionality and warmth. Every element—curated with the same attention to detail—reinforces the superfunds commitment to creating a workspace that supports collaboration, productivity, and wellbeing. The thoughtfully scaled lounge solution anchors the breakout room, transforming it into a welcoming hub where ideas flow and people connect.
Within a tight budget the outcome is a sophisticated, high-quality environment that reflects the company’s focus on excellence and teamwork—where every space works as hard as the people within it.
