TCW was engaged by Hot Black to supply furniture for the lobby of an iconic Australian media provider located in Ultimo, Sydney. The objective was to create a versatile and engaging space that could serve multiple functions, including casual meetings, social interactions, and café areas for staff, visitors, and related guests, ensuring the space was designed to help people feel welcomed and thrive in a collaborative environment.
The challenge was to furnish a multi-functional lobby area that could seamlessly accommodate informal meeting spaces and a café-style environment, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that aligned with the brand’s dynamic culture. The furniture needed to function across various settings, helping foster partnerships and a positive first impression.
Working closely with Hot Black, TCW sourced a range of stylish and functional furniture pieces from Naughtone and Actiu. The collection included Bounce Chairs and low meeting tables for the café area, along with Always Chairs and Always Loungers in bold yellow and blue, arranged for small meeting configurations. The Construct Stools and Trace Bar Tables were ideal for the canteen and café spaces, offering vibrant tones that reflected the playful and inviting interior design.
Additionally, Longo Settings from Actiu were supplied as alternative low soft seating, providing a balance of comfort and style across the space. These pieces were carefully selected to meet the demand for domestic-style upholstery in a commercial environment, ensuring both a welcoming feel and functionality.
The project successfully provided high-quality, functional furniture that catered to the various needs of the lobby while making a positive first impression on visitors.
