Roseville College
A Learning Environment Reimagined: Roseville College’s Classroom Transformation
Roseville College, an esteemed independent school in Sydney, undertook a visionary two-stage upgrade of its classrooms to create dynamic, future-focused learning environments across both the junior and senior campuses. The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to innovation in education, where adaptable and inspiring spaces empower both teachers and students to thrive.
To develop a consistent, flexible furniture solution that could support a wide variety of teaching styles and classroom layouts—across 40 different learning spaces—while meeting both functional and aesthetic goals.
TCW collaborated closely with Roseville College’s in-house design team to deliver a suite of mobile, modular furniture tailored to modern pedagogical needs. Writable tabletop finishes encouraged creativity and collaboration, while a mix of light and dark woodgrain laminate surfaces created visual warmth. Whass 4-leg stacking chairs in a vibrant blue added both comfort and colour, with all tables featuring locking castors for effortless reconfiguration. This flexible system supported everything from group collaboration to focused individual learning.
The result is a cohesive, forward-thinking classroom environment rolled out across 40 rooms, empowering educators with the tools and freedom to adapt teaching in real time. The new spaces are functional, contemporary, and student-centered—supporting an evolving curriculum and fostering a strong sense of engagement throughout the campus.
As part of TCW’s commitment to social responsibility, all existing furniture removed from the classrooms was donated and shipped to schools in the Cook Islands and Fiji—where it found a second life supporting communities in need of educational infrastructure.
