The Michael Kirby Law Faculty at Macquarie University
A future-ready law faculty blending sustainability and innovation at Macquarie University.
In collaboration with Hassell Studio and FDC, TCW contributed to the transformation of Macquarie University’s Michael Kirby Law Faculty. The project blends sustainability, functionality, and innovation to create a cutting-edge educational space that inspires learning and fosters talent.
The task was to modernize a four-storey structure with sustainable materials and future-ready design. Key goals included maximizing functionality, reducing the building’s carbon footprint, and creating a welcoming environment for students and staff.
TCW delivered tailored furniture solutions, including 664 Noom Chairs, 69 Actiu Trama Tables, 128 Prisma Tables, and 151 MOX-Pro Workstations. Custom pieces from the TCW Collection, such as Sicla Chairs, mobile caddies, and Focus Pods, ensured every area met specific functional and aesthetic needs.
The revitalized law faculty combines innovative design with sustainable features like cross-laminated timber and integrated photovoltaics. TCW’s versatile furniture enhances functionality, creating a warm and inspiring space that supports the future of education.
