Maritime Hardwood Parasol
As part of the Essential Collection, Tuuci®’s line of elegant shade parasols, where old-world craftsmanship is perfectly matched with modern corrosion-proof materials, the Bay Master M1 Maritime Hardwood is consistently a top parasol choice for luxury resorts throughout the world and for good reason; it’s able to withstand tough, windy conditions in tropical climates.

Tuuci test their marine-grade shade equipment in winds over 80 km/h, and wind-tested a 2.74 m Ocean Master octagon at 89 km/h on 204 kg of anchor. They do not recommend or warrant leaving any collapsible shade open above the figure above, and strongly recommend an in-ground mount wherever winds above 48 km/h are expected. Suggested anchor weights are for free-standing parasols in reasonable conditions and are not a warranty or guarantee of any kind.

Anchoringrequired18 anchors · fixed down or free-standing
Anchors are ordered separately. Fixing the parasol down — into the ground or onto a slab, which are as strong as each other — takes the most wind and is the more affordable way to do it: the anchor is small and the ground does the work. A free-standing anchor costs more because the weight is the anchor.

Wheels (optional)
So the anchor can be moved without lifting it. An Aluma-Crete takes Tuff Wheels built in, a round G-Plate sits on a wheel tray, and a square G-Plate gets four braked castors.
Anchor cover (optional)
A cover over the top of the plate, hiding the bolts and the galvanised steel.
Finish (optional)
Marine Silver and the powder coats are included; Aluma-TEAK is an upgrade.
Tuuci don't recommend leaving this parasol open above 40 km/h, and strongly recommend an in-ground mount wherever winds above 48 km/h are expected. Suggested weights are Tuuci's own, for free-standing parasols in reasonable conditions, and are not a warranty or guarantee — see Wind ratings & conditions above. Anchors come in Marine Silver as standard, with the powder coats included.
