Revitalizing workspace for productivity and well-being

The Australian Transport Provider aimed to refresh their existing workspace to better support staff productivity and well-being. The design focused on creating a dynamic environment that enhanced both functionality and acoustics within the Operations Centre, fostering an atmosphere where staff can thrive.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a flexible, ergonomic workspace that not only enhanced productivity but also supported staff well-being. Additionally, addressing acoustic concerns in the Operations Centre was critical to ensure a comfortable, productive atmosphere.

Solution

TCW supplied ergonomic EON sit-to-stand workstations, replacing outdated fixed-height desks and offering flexibility for diverse work styles. The workstations were fitted with colourful PET screens to improve acoustics and add vibrancy to the space, creating a more dynamic and engaging work environment. The configurations included individual offices with plywood modesty panels and pentagon-shaped clusters for the call centre, paired with EFit chairs to ensure both functionality and comfort. The design optimised the space to encourage collaboration and individual focus, contributing to a space where staff can feel empowered and productive.

Results

The new ergonomic workstations revitalized the Operations Centre, supporting the evolving needs of the workforce while enhancing comfort, acoustics, and overall functionality. The project successfully created an environment where staff can thrive and be more productive, making it a space that balances well-being and performance.
