A harbour-view workplace for one of Australia’s leading IP firms
Patent and trade mark attorneys FB Rice moved their Sydney team to Level 29 of Deutsche Bank Place in 2025. Planned with Unispace over about six months, the new floor swaps the formality of a traditional legal office for a warm, hospitality-led workplace built around its outlook over the Harbour and the Royal Botanic Garden.

Challenge
The firm wanted a workplace that would draw people back together: client-ready meeting rooms, a reception that sets the tone the moment the lift doors open, and a mix of focused and collaborative settings for attorneys and support staff alike.

Solution
The furniture carries the same warmth as the architecture. Rust-toned lounge chairs sit at the windows, height-adjustable desks pair with ergonomic task seating and planter-topped storage, and the meeting rooms, each named after a Sydney suburb, are fitted with timber tables and upholstered chairs. Stools line the "Bondi" kitchen island, where the floor opens up for the whole team.

Results
The finished floor has the polish of a hotel lobby with the practicality of a modern professional office, and every meeting room and breakout space makes the most of one of the best views in the city.
