Innovative, flexible furniture solutions for a sustainable, collaborative education hub
UTS Central, a striking 17-storey glass-encased building, required modern, flexible furniture solutions to support its dynamic educational and collaborative spaces. The project aimed to create an engaging environment that fosters both student and faculty interaction, while ensuring alignment with sustainability standards.
The challenge was to provide adaptable and functional furniture that would enhance the student hub, study areas, the Faculty of Law space, as well as the UTS Library and Reading Room. The goal was to promote collaboration, while also meeting the building’s ambitious sustainability objectives.
TCW supplied a range of agile, flexible furniture solutions that supported the dynamic, collaborative learning environment envisioned for UTS Central. The furniture was strategically placed across various spaces to enhance functionality and foster a collaborative atmosphere. From student hubs to study areas and faculty spaces, our solutions helped create spaces that allow students and faculty to thrive in both academic and social settings, supporting a sustainable and engaging learning experience.
The innovative furniture solutions provided by TCW helped ensure UTS Central’s success as a vibrant hub for education and research. The project achieved a 5-Star Green Star Design and As-Built rating, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability while fostering spaces where collaboration and innovation thrive.
